Magic from Day 1!

 My name is Maria and my now husband is Stephen. We met on your site, and from day one there was magic!! I was in a previous going nowhere marriage looking for a deeper soul connection and he was a 24-7 caregiver for his mother who was in care of hospice. He was previously engaged but sadly lost his fiancé due to a heart attack from complications from Lupus. I was helping my dad out and working during the height of covid. His sister ended up contracting covid and could no longer assist in the care for their mother so he was taking care of her alone.

We had just started talking September 12th, 2018, through your site of course. That first day we conversed for 7 hrs straight!! It flew by!! It was magical and it was scary!! We hit it off but I knew he had some reservations because it was still hard for him after the passing of his previous fiancé. He said in the beginning that we would never get married because they were supposed to and I was ok with that. I just wanted to love him even if he didn't love me and just be in his presence.

Skip back to his sister being in the hospital was really scary and we didn't think she would make it. I quit my job due to not having enough protection from possibly catching covid and did not want to comprise my dad's health. From there I couldn't let him, Stephen take care of his mother alone and decided to go help him. That was really the start of our living together relationship. We split up the time caring for his mom. I watched her in the 1st half of the day and he took the other. We didn't,  of course, have a normal start to our relationship but I would not change it for anything!! We did this for a year or more until her passing.

It was tough but we had already proven we worked well handling tough situations together. We had throughout that time already said we loved each other, he told me first. Till one day he proposed to me while we were on vacation. It was Autumn my favorite time of the year in 2022. I never said anything to him about marriage this whole time. I love him with my whole heart and whether we married or not it did not matter to me, I loved him.

And here we are now married on September 18th, 2026!! I am so thankful and grateful we met because he truly is the love of my life and I want to thank Meet Mindful for being the platform in which our hearts crossed paths. It started with him liking my picture and me messaging him. I was done with all the dating apps and this was the last one!! I was about to delete it as well but the universe had better plans!!
